Guardian Angel is the first novel in The Moneypenny Diaries series, an official spin-off series that focuses on M's assistant Miss Moneypenny. The novel was written by Samantha Weinberg and published in the UK in 2005.

Plot synopsis

The first diary fills in the gaps between a number of agent 007's missions including the period between "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" (1963) and "You Only Live Twice" (1964), but also includes an entire backstory for Miss Moneypenny. For the first time since Fleming introduced the character alongside Bond in "Casino Royale" (1953), Moneypenny is given a first name: Jane.

We got the MI6 table at the Rules restaurant and that is where Pirita and Mika from 007 Travelers got engaged!

The Rules restaurant is of course a filming location of "SPECTRE" (2015). That is the place where Q (Ben Whishaw) and Moneypenny (Naomie Harris) come to meet M (Ralph Fiennes). Rules is also the oldest restaurant in London. (EST 1798)

Daniel Craig and Omega's new watch inspired by Commander Bond

Daniel Craig wore "Commander's Watch" when he confirmed his return as 007 in "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" 16th of August 2017.

Naomie Harris Gets Actress in a Supporting Role Nomination for Oscars 2017

Naomie Harris (Miss Moneypenny in "Skyfall" (2012), "SPECTRE" (2015)) is an Actress in a Supporting Role nominee for "Moonlight" for the 2017 Oscars. In "Moonlight", Naomie Harris plays Paula, whose drug addiction during her son's youth alienates him, although she attempts to reconcile with him when he is a young man. This is the first Academy Award nomination for Naomie Harris.

MI6 Team: Miss Moneypenny

Miss Moneypenny is the secretary to M. The films depict her as having a reserved romantic interest in Bond, although Fleming's novels do not imply such a relationship while the John Gardner and Raymond Benson novels emphasise it more. In the film series, Moneypenny has been portrayed by Lois Maxwell, Barbara Bouchet, Pamela Salem, Caroline Bliss, Samantha Bond and Naomie Harris.
