A custom Land Rover driven by James Bond in Spectre for sale

A CUSTOM Land Rover driven by James Bond (Daniel Craig) in "SPECTRE" (2015) has been tipped to sell for £250,000.

The huge 4x4 Land Rover Defender, that weighs 2.5 tonnes is a far cry from the classic Aston Martin DB5s usually associated with the famous spy.

The 8ft tall motor has specialist off-road tyres, an external roll cage and a winch.

And the motor even has a custom "0007 SVX" registration plate, adding to its value as serious Bond memorabilia.

The Defender has emerged for sale with Bonhams, and will go under the hammer at their Goodwood Racecourse sale on July 13.

According to the auction house, it remains in pristine condition, having barely been used since the film was released in 2014.

Just one other Defender was used in the film and that was badly damaged.

Jaguar Land Rover is the official partner of 007 Elements – a state-of-the-art installation in Sölden, Austria – it was announced today (11 April 2018).

007 Elements, located at the top of the 3,050m Gaislachkogl peak, offers visitors a chance to immerse themselves in the world of the iconic secret agent in a new mountain-top location next to the ice Q restaurant used as the Hoffler Klinik in "SPECTRE" (2015). Interactive displays featuring Jaguar Land Rover technical content along with the Land Rover Defender and Range Rover Sport SVR used for filming SPECTRE will form part of the experience.



Visitors will also see the latest Jaguar Land Rover technology, with the artificial intelligence systems and 90kWh lithium-ion battery from an electric Jaguar I-PACE performance SUV used to power a wireframe model of the C-X75 concept car that starred in a spectacular car chase through Rome in SPECTRE.

Jaguar Land Rover vehicles have appeared in nine Bond films since "Octopussy" in 1983, when Roger Moore made a dramatic escape in a Range Rover Classic driven by Bianca (Tina Hudson).

SPECTRE VEHICLES AT BOND IN MOTION - Bond 24 cars at exhibition

Bond In Motion, the world’s largest official collection of original James Bond vehicles, has launched "The Cars of SPECTRE" display at the London Film Museum in London. Included in the exhibition are props, models and costumes from "SPECTRE" (2015) alongside Bond’s Aston Martin DB10, Oberhauser’s Rolls Royce Wraith, Hinx’s Jaguar C-X75 and the Land Rover Defender.
