Sadanoyama, (real name Shinmatsu Ichikawa), died of pneumonia at a Tokyo hospital on 27th of April 2017, his family confirmed. He was 79. According to JSA officials, he had been in and out of hospital this year after suffering a heart stroke.
Sadanoyama was a real character in the movie "You Only Live Twice" (1967) Upon his arrival in Japan, Bond (Sean Connery) meets with the sumo wrestler Sadoyanama who gives him tickets to the match. He was played by himself.
Jay Milligan, the driving stunt supervisor of "The Man With the Golden Gun", died in March 2017. Mulligan had helped to create a stunt where a car would do a full rotation between two ramps, landing right side up on the other side.
Who: Bond girl Mona Chong has passed away, she was one of Blofeld's Angels of Death, in "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" (1969), Mona Chong's character name was Chinese Girl.

George Clifton James (May 29, 1920 – April 15, 2017) was an American actor, best known for his roles as Sheriff J.W. Pepper alongside Roger Moore in the James Bond films "Live and Let Die" (1973) and "The Man with the Golden Gun" (1974), the sheriff in "Silver Streak" (1976), and as the owner of the scandalous 1919 Chicago White Sox baseball team in "Eight Men Out" (1988).

Now it is possible to see second Roger Moore's 007 film "The Man with the Golden Gun" (1974) on big screen as part of KAVI'sChristopher Leeseries. Lee plays main villain Francisco Scaramanga in the film.
In August last year (2015) 007 Travelers co-organized with KAVI 50th Anniversary screening of "Thunderball" (1965) and seeing Bond movie from big screen is always such a great experience. Our report and pics from that Event here

Bond connection: James Bond meets Chew Mee when he poses as hitman Francisco Scaramanga in order to get into industrialist Hai Fat's estate. Bond sees Chew Mee swimming in Hai Fat's pool and Chew Mee asks him to come in. Bond tells her he hasn't got a bathing suit to which Chew Mee replies that she doesn't either. As Bond is unbuttoning his shirt, Hai Fat arrives.

Bond connection: Saida is a belly dancer in Beirut with something of a coquettish, sensual and seductive nature and that she previously had a relationship with Bill Fairbanks (aka 002). While she was in his arms, Francisco Scaramanga shot him. Having been informed by Moneypenny that Fairbanks was with Saida when he died, and that the bullet that killed him was never found, Bond takes the lead and tracks Saida down. Taking in the belly dancer's performance, dressed as she is in an extremely revealing (and colourful) bedleh Bond couldn't fail to notice that she is wearing the bullet in her belly button. Knowing the bullet to be a vital clue to Scaramangas' whereabouts Bond resolves to steal it, and follows Saida back stage, unaware that he is being observed by a group of men whose agenda remains a mystery throughout. In keeping with most attractive female characters in the franchise Saida takes a liking to Bond at first sight so Bond has no trouble gaining her confidence.Introducing himself in his trademark "last name first name last name" style Bond compliments her on her belly dancing and general superb quality tells her that they had had a mutual friend in Fairbanks. Saida tells Bond she did not see Fairbanks' killer as at the time she was in his arms, eyes closed. She further informs him that the bullet went through Fairbanks' neck, and that she had she removed it from the wall before the arrival of the police. "And now it is my lucky charm. I never dance without it." she says swiveling her hips demonstratively. Saida then attempts to seduce Bond who, seeing this as a an undoubtedly enjoyable method of stealing the bullet, seizes the opportunity. As he kisses the girl passionately, Bond attempts to pluck the bullet from her navel mid caress. Noticing this with alarm Saida seizes his hand and places it on her posterier before he can complete the removal. Bond pats her bottom mischeviously as he realises he is going to have to be more subtle to outwit the belly dancer. Thinking quickly, Bond knocks a tube of lipstick from her table in faux clumsiness apologising he kneels down supposedly to retrieve it, placing him, as planned, level with the girls' bare midriff which he proceeds to kiss telling the, now unsuspecting, belly dancer that she has a "magnificent abdomen". Utterly seduced and decidedly enjoying having her belly kissed, Saida is now unaware of the danger to her lucky charm as Bond kisses her closer and closer to her navel with the intention of sucking out the bullet. Just as he succeeds in doing so, the group of men who had been observing him earlier, and who must have got lost all this time following him the comparatively short distance to Saida's dressing room, finally enter and, for reasons best known to themselves, strike Bond from behind causing him to swallow the bullet. After a brutal brawl Bond renders his attackers unconscious. As reinforcements turn up for his enemies, Bond makes his escape via a side door into the street. At this point Saida notices the bullet has been removed from her belly button, and screams in alarm clutching her naked midriff: "I've lost my charm!" she wails tearfully. "Not from where I'm standing" smirks Bond at the defeated belly dancer as he leaves her wrecked dressing room.

Bond connection: Andrea Anders is Francisco Scaramanga's mistress. She is seen with Scaramanga on his private island, first helping him dry off after a swim and sunbathes with him. After the pre-title sequence, the plot for the story becomes clear. James Bond has been sent a note from Scaramanga, a famous assassin, with a golden bullet engraved with 007. As the plot unfolds it becomes clear that Miss Anders sent the note and the bullet hoping Bond would come and eventually kill Scaramanga. She considers Scaramanga a "monster" but she cannot just leave him because, according to her, people just don't walk out on him.
After watching the mysterious Miss Anders collect a shipment of Scaramanga's custom-made gold bullets from a casino in Macau, Bond follows her back to her hotel in Hong Kong and walks in on her as she showers. Startled, she opens the shower door and points a Beretta (Bond quips 'a water pistol?') at him. Demanding a bathrobe she escorts him out of the bathroom at gunpoint.
As she makes a call to the reception desk, Bond lifts and opens the cigarette packet containing Lazar's bullets. Unnerved, she orders him to give them to her. He obliges and as he passes her the packet, he knocks the weapon from her hand and pins her to the bed. Bond proceeds to interrogate her about her connection with Scaramanga, threatening first to break her arm if she refuses and then slapping her when she proves uncooperative. She reveals that she is his mistress and divulges his location for that evening; the Bottoms Up Club. Later that evening, after assassinating British scientist Gibson, Scaramanga returns to his Junk moored in Hong Kong harbor. Anders is in bed awaiting him. Drawing the golden gun from his jacket pocket, he sensuously caresses her arm and lips with the weapon, eliciting a fearful and repulsed response from the girl.
She later meets Bond again in his hotel room, where she says that she wants Scaramanga dead and she says that Bond can have anything. Bond considers the solex agitator, and Anders says that he can have her as well (saying she is not unattractive). She then changes into a light blue bathrobe which Bond admits is charming, and Anders turns off the light. Bond and Anders kiss and Bond says that sending the bullet to MI6 was an inspiration. He then opens up her bathrobe, and drops it. It falls to the floor leaving her completely naked. That night Andrea goes back to Scaramanga and as she puts way her jewelry, she sees the solex.
The next morning, Bond meets Miss Anders to pick up the Solex, but finds she has already been shot and killed after Scaramanga discovers her deceit, Scaramanga shooting her in such a manner that the bullet strikes her heart but the entry wound is partially concealled by her jacket. It is unknown if Bond killed Scaramanga for revenge on Andrea or just to keep his promise.

Bond connection: Miss Goodnight is a Secret Service staffer, inexperienced field operative who assists Bond when he is following Andrea Anders in Hong Kong. Bond meets up with Goodnight on Scaramanga's island where later she knocks the maintenance man into a pool of liquid helium. Bond and Goodnight manage to escape and after dealing with Nick Nack.
