As the first of its kind, the non-commercial charity James Bond Fan-documentary “A
Bond For Life“ portrays the devoted fan-love of director Benjamin Lind that began
almost exactly twenty years ago. When he saw his first Bond film “GoldenEye“ in
cinema in 1996, it was love at first sight. From then on, the films accompanied him
through difficult and challenging years. When the sudden cancer death of his mother
turned his world upside down in 1997, it was the fictional novel- and screen hero
James Bond who gave him stability and a fantasy world to escape to. Being
increasingly confronted with the serious side of life, Lind saw himself tasked with the
challenge of balancing fantasy world and reality. With this combination, “A Bond For
Life“ is equally autobiography as well as journey through the exciting James Bond
fandom.

“A Bond For Life“ is dedicated to Barbara Broccoli & Michael G. Wilson, the
producers of the James Bond films. Since 1995, they both control the fate of the
family business EON Productions Ltd. in London as well as that of the James Bond
franchise, which has become the longest-running film series in the history of cinema
with a total of 24 films.

UNICEF
Aside from the cinematic idea, another heartfelt wish became the focus for director
Benjamin Lind: the final film should benefit a charitable cause. Together with
UNICEF, the internationally operating United Nations Children's Fund whose line of ambassadors also include former James Bond actor Sir Roger Moore, Lind was now
able to realize this wish. “We, who live in rich economic nations and don ́t have to
give much thought to where our next meal is coming from, have so much and give so
little”, says Lind. “Millions of children die every year as a result of malnutrition. The
co-operation with UNICEF enables me to do my bit with my film project and support
vital aid operations.“
