Veteran director John Boorman reveals the on-set secrets of Sean Connery

John Boorman about Sean Connery and filming of "Zardoz" (1974):

"It was the final scene of this sci-fi movie set in a post-apocalyptic dystopia. It took a day to shoot because Sean and Charlotte Rampling had to age hundreds of years quickly.
It was hard work but it went well – then the lab scratched the film. We had to reshoot. Sean fumed, but said OK. This time the clapper loader exposed the film. Sean exploded, and it took several crew to prevent him killing the guy."

"Years later I saw the clapper loader in LA. He’d changed his name because, he said, nobody wanted to hire the guy who’d upset James Bond so much."
