"Maliza brought food to the table and beckoned to the men. They sat down to a meal of chicken curry with rice, served with bottled sparkling water."

Raymond Benson: "DoubleShot" (2000)

Ready to be eaten

Gun shaped ginger (on top), onion and garlic

Recipe found from Internet:

Ingredients

600 g chicken breast (eg. skinless filet) unflavoured
1 large chopped onion
4 carnations
3/4 cup of oil
2 cloves of crushed garlic
2 tablespoons of paprika
1 teaspoon of turmeric
1 tablespoon of curry paste
2 teaspoons of shred ginger
a pinch of red pepper
1 tablespoon of lemon juice
1-2 dl plain yoghurt (or coconut milk)
parsley or fresh coriander for decoration
add salt as you like it

How to prepare the food

Brown the onion in oil, add the cloves, ginger, garlic and remaining spices. Blend a moment. Add the diced chicken. Now you can also add a small amount of water, but not too much, a curry is supposed to be slightly thick and greasy. Stir and simmer under a lid on low heat for approx. 20 min. and stir every now and then. Finally, add the yoghurt and lemon juice and let heat up to boiling point, garnish with parsley or coriander.
